Essentially it tracks “this date” in 1930, and the top headlines in the Wall Street Journal. Of course as you know, after a rebound from an initial economic shock based on overleverage (among many other things), the “green shoots” of recovery petered out… leading to a Great Depression. These headlines were before that happened. They are shockingly familiar to our current headlines.
